Global Entrepreneurship Week 2012

36% of people say that the fear of failing stops them from exploiting the business opportunities they see. (Global Entrepreneurship Monitor)

Entrepreneurs need information, advice, hints and tips from industry experts and from fellow entrepreneurs, to help give them the confidence to follow through with their ideas and create a successful business.

Global Entrepreneurship Week allows this to happen by enabling people to learn more about the wealth of support that is available to entrepreneurs in the UK.

The key aims of the week are to:

  • Encourage those people who are not yet entrepreneurs to think about starting up their own business
  • Improve entrepreneurship skills for aspiring entrepreneurs and start-ups
  • Help people to access practical support – locally, regionally and nationally

The theme of this year’s Global Entrepreneurship Week is ‘Pass it on!’

Here at CASCAiD we have decided to join in with this theme and pass on information from Pippa and her partner Alan, who successfully set up their own business. Click here to read about the challenges they face, their future ambitions and their advice to fellow entrepreneurs.

Careerscape can offer budding entrepreneurs information and advice about setting up a business and the practical issues they need to consider. Careerscape contains case studies and videos of individuals who have set up their own business, giving real insight into the day to day workings of managing your own company and working for yourself.
